Image by Flickr user Micah A. Ponce The thinking is, that extreme weather conditions will become more common as the earth warms.
Shifting and outright disappearing coastlines are just a couple of the problems that will haunt South Carolina as the earth warms.
Poorer performing crops, more volatile weather (yes, that includes hurricanes), and better conditions for bugs to bread are all on the radar.
In short the risk of a warmer world that rapidly increases sea level rise (the oceans have already been rising for a long time) would be devastating to our tourism and agricultural state.
