This one's just popping up on our radar and it looks like they haven't gotten any coverage yet, so we'll get you oriented with the basics.
Vespa pizzeria has recently opened up on Daniel Island. The high-end pizza joint also does house-made gelato and number of other pasta, mussel, salad, and entree specialties.
The place touts "Neapolitan influences" and chef Jonathan Banta is a Johnson & Wales graduate and former Rue de Jean executive chef.
Expect to spend $9-$11 on a 10-inch pizza and $10-$14 on dinner entrees.
They also boast that they use only locally sourced food, and have built much of the interior of the space using sustainable methods.
The restaurant says, "the interior space of the restaurant reflects our passion for reusable products including a decor consisting of recycled Vespa tires, a stacked firewood entrance wall and recycled butcher block dining tables."

We're going to try and get out there to give you more details on this one, which looks like it has the making of a real gem.
