Update February 18: In a release Superintendent Nancy McGinley has put a hold on the plans.
The idea is to allow for more school-district-parent dialog before proceeding with a vote.
First reporting: Frustrated with a lack of improvement in Stall and North Charleston high schools, the Charleston County School District leaders have gotten creative.
They propose sending all 9th and 10th graders at the schools to the North Charleston school and all 11th and 12th graders to Stall. It's a method they hope will allow the school to better target the specific needs of the various student groups.
The paper also has a piece about how the shakeup would affect sporting traditions at the schools.
Look for a vote on the matter come the February 28 school district meeting.
