The Glass Onion will offer up a Lowcountry inspired tasting menu to celebrate New Year’s Eve on Friday, December 31, from 6 to 10 p.m.
This West Ashley restaurant located at 1219 Savannah Highway will be open for reservations only and will have live jazz as a backdrop to the feast. The five course dinner will feature local delicacies, such as oysters, blue crab and grass fed beef tenderloin. There will also be an optional wine pairing from the restaurant’s “green” wine list.
The Glass Onion places utmost importance on supporting area farmers and fisherman and will provide information about their purveyors at the dinner.
The five course dinner will cost $50 per guest, which includes a miniature bottle of bubbly (sparkling French wine.) The wine pairing can be purchased for an additional $30.

The restaurant will be open for lunch from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., preceding the dinner, and they will be open for brunch only on New Year's Day.
