Vans Custom Culture Contest Submission By Loris High School
High school art classes across the US are invited to compete in a shoe customization contest that grows on a state to regional to national level, culminating in a high-visibility event in New York this June. For the second year in a row, Loris High School is showcasing greatness by making it as one of the Southeast finalist.
Art students, Jarod Timms, Cody Stevens, James Boswell, Zach Bearce and Tyler Fejes designed four pairs of custom Vans based on the themes of art, music, sports and street fashion. Out of 400 schools, Loris High School has made it into the top 50. Based on a vote count, Loris High School has a chance to make it to the next round.

The overall winning school gets one shoe design to be manufactured and the school's art department gets $50,000.
