We support the free sharing of information
TheDigitel is a collaborative virtual community that seeks to help local communities categorize and access information about their news events and local life.
Where our staff or Open Community contributors have created their own content on TheDigitel, it is shared under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License. This means that others are able to freely re-use the words and work provided an attribution is given to the source and that you share your work, too.
It is important to note that where we have used other works under license or through the news provision of copyright law, this license does not apply. The Creative Commons license cannot apply by default to content created elsewhere for other purposes and uploaded to TheDigitel.
When in doubt, ask us about using content by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org
If you're not sure how to source work on TheDigitel, here's an attribution example: "Excerpt by John Author Doe, from TheDigitel." It's preferable to link the author's name to the page the material came from.
Note: The Creative Commons sharing license is subject to Giant Hawk Media's terms and agreements and where a dispute should arise, the terms and agreements supersede the Creative Commons license. It is the intent of the site and its creators to reflect the spirit of the Creative Commons BY SA license.
